iPads in the Classroom

Here are some tools to help you begin the process of gathering apps -- an evaluation form for a content iPad/iPod application and one for a creation iPad/iPod application. Google versions you can use: forms for content and creation apps, resulting content spreadsheet and resulting creation spreadsheet.

If you find a link that is not working, please let me know the title of the resource.

Critical evaluation of mobile apps

I have been creating instruments to evaluate online resources for many years. It started with Web pages, then moved on to include blogs, wikis, virtual field trips, online videos, and podcasts. You can find out about those here.

I have created two evaluation instruments - one for content apps and one for creation apps to use when looking at iPad apps. It also helps to have the evaluation data handy if you are lobbying for a purchase of an app. The first two forms can be filled out and saved locally.
